Fifteen years in old peoples home
no money in my pocket even my trousers are gone
lost my legs in the Winter war
horses stampeded on my arms when I passed out
on a farm

I can't even enjoy good old humppa music
the rats ate my ears when I slept in a park
I haven't got enough money to buy a rocking chair
so I dictated this letter to you over there

Please mister, or mrs, I need more of that humppa medicine

If you don't have any Jack Daniels
could I have a gallon of unleaded
a bottle of antifreeze would do me good
If you get me these you can forget the food
